This month we have Fathers Day (15th) and Armed Forces Day (28th) to look
forward to. With so many museums across the UK holding special WW2 commemorative
D-Day events, there's plenty to choose from for Fathers Day days out including
chances to meet veterans and see exhibitions from the war. Once in a lifetime
opportunities to talk to famous Mosquito veteran Capt Eric 'Winkle' Brown at
The de Havilland
Museum on June 21st at 11.30am. |
Come along to the Armed Forces Jazz Night, Saturday 28th June. At Newhaven Fort and
enjoy an evening of live 1940s style jazz, jive and swing in an atmospheric
WWII setting with Dr. Bone and the Surgeons of Swing! Come and dance the night
away in your 1940s clothing (optional!). |

The ever-popular Wicksteed at War returns to Wicksteed Park 14/15 June.
A show dedicated to displaying military vehicles and re-enactor groups plus the amazing fly past of a Lancaster
(Sat) and Hurricane (Sun). There will also be military vehicles, mini tank rides and live music. |
